I'm Holt McFadden, and Boulder Designs by Rock Field is my family's shop. We create custom headstones, columns and pillars, business signs, fire pits and more — all cut from solid boulder and engraved with your logos, names, and personalized designs. We can build your simplest idea or your most bizarre one. Any shape, any color, any size.

I started Boulder Designs because I kept seeing the same thing: memorials and signs that were made to be replaced, not remembered. I wanted to build the opposite — something so permanent it would still be standing when the stories attached to it were being told by people who never met the person it honored.
So I set up shop in Kingstree, taught myself the craft, and started cutting boulder the way it was meant to be cut — by hand, with intention, one piece at a time. Today my family and I serve families and businesses across 8 South Carolina counties, from Williamsburg down to the coast.
